Essentially Chrissie Godfrey and Paul Birch have funding from Taunton Deane Borough Council to hold 8 transition training workshops of which Neroche Parish was number 2. Churchingford is a possible 3rd in Churchstanton Parish. A letter went out the every parish in Taunton Deane and our active participation is highly recommended.

This was a truly effective evening, including all ages and types of people from Neroche Parish working together in Neroche Parish Transition Workshop.
Organised by Tim French and held on behalf of the Neroche Parish Council, there were about 25people working together on Thursday 29 April at Neroche Hall, Bickenhall from 7.00– 9.30pm,
Chrissie Godfrey and Paul Birch of the Taunton Transition Town group ran a most effective workshop for Neroche Parish residents that clarified issues surrounding climate change and the peaking of oil production, discussed what a resilient Neroche Parish might be like in 2026 and helped decide what the local priorities for making local lives,sustainable in the future. There are many parallels with lives in the Blackdown Hills in general.
Ideas will be incorporated into the Neroche Parish Plan where appropriate and a report will be issued. A questionnaire is being prepared for feedback from all residents of the parish[1].
