“We are very excited to have Terry Ayers from Dulford Nurseries coming to show us how to plant specimen trees properly! So come and watch an expert in action and plumb his extensive knowledge. He will be there from 11 ‘til 1pm, then enjoy a communal lunch of a bowl of homemade soup and lashings of cake for the helpers with that well earned cup of tea! The good news is that as the ground is so hard we have had a digger in to make the holes, all we have to do is to follow instructions and fill them in.( it would be a real help if you bring your own fork and spade )
To update you on last months progress - the pond is coming on, with less black plastic on show and we have planted Kiwi fruit vines, blackberry and loganberry bushes. We have installed 2 large black / British lop cross weaner piglets and they are loving rooting up the ground ready for more carpet! Mary Ann has named them Windsor and Newton ( Could be a mistake! ) I just keep thinking of pork crackling. Also on the site are 10 new rescue chickens learning to walk and feed themselves. There feathers have already begun to grow.
So do come and join in on the 13thNovember.” See diary of events for more details.
