of the last meeting on 21Sep2011 were agreed and signed by Selena Mitford
Matters arising from last meeting
Apple Day Feedback from apple day is good and Trudi as ‘driver’ did a great job. So much so that we plan to hold more in 2012 for which the following
actions are relevant: LR is checking with Trudi to see what official thanks are needed for Vigo particularly the crusher
VG is putting a grant together for SDF. The bare bones are ready to go
SM/Emet/JA/LR to look at better signage and maps and literature for future events
LR to get meeting sheets to VG for the application (keep photocopies with minutes)
Plan for 2012 is 5 apple tree in every parish (53) ie 265 bare rooted trees to plant next autumn in conjuction with tree warden of every parish. Plan for 4 apple days: plant, maintain,
press fruit then prune. From mid Oct to mid Nov with a ‘driver’ for each day like Trudi. Possible four areas for the four days are:
GF&GF’s venue as in 2010
Stentwood (confirm with ES)
Stockland/Wanbrook
Team up with apple day at Thornhayes/Awlscombe (check with Thronhayes and Jenny Archard)
Hopefully each area will have folk with own presses so aim at circa 3 presses, one of which we hope will be a community press + crusher.

Next Meetings
held bimonthly i.e. aim at 6 per year, generally alternating on last Tuesday or Wednesday plus including Thursday lunchtimes for those who
cannot make evenings. Extra meetings may be called as needed and one/two meeting a year should be public (dates of public meetings to
be agreed). So next meetings are:
Wed 18th Jan 2012 at 7pm – Pub at Yarcombe (SM to check room/table away from skittles)
Thurs 29th Mar 2012 1pm Sidmouth Arms (LR to check with the pub its ok)
Wed 30th May 2012 1pm the Candlelight (SM to check with the pub its ok for AGM)
Tues 24th Jul 2012 7pm (venue to confirm)
Wed 26th Sep 2012 at VG’s place (confirm time)
Thurs 29th Nov 2012 1pm at Stentwood (confirm)
